Sen. Cardin Hosts Small-Business Roundtable at JHU MCC
Sen. Ben Cardin hosted a small-business roundtable at Johns Hopkins Montgomery County. Among the approximately 60 attendees were representatives from minority chambers of commerce, including several companies located on the Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus.
Cardin, who serves on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, credited President Obama for turning around the Small Business Administration to be a better advocate for small businesses. Cardin also touched on several other issues facing Congress and small business. He talked about how he thinks the immigration bill will help the economy; the importance of STEM education; and the affordability and accessibility of higher education.
Participants expressed deep appreciation for Cardin’s efforts and for his demonstrated interest in assisting businesses in Montgomery County, Maryland and the United States.
