Equilibrium Announces New Project with Texcell-NA
by Aliyah DeVille
Equilibrium, a life sciences design-build firm located on the JHU Montgomery County Campus, announced that it will be working with Texcell-NA, formerly known as Cell Trends, to create its new headquarters. Texcell-NA provides the research community with a broad range of contract laboratory services using tissue culture and virology-based techniques.
Equilibrium, which specializes in program management, general contracting, facilities operations, and energy efficiency audits and aims to define the needs of life science organizations, will serve as program and construction manager for the new building in Frederick, Maryland.
To date, Equilibrium already has aided Texcell in navigating the planning, designing, and permitting process for the new facility, which will include laboratory and administrative facilities.
“Texcell is looking to build a new facility so it can expand its client base and service offerings,” said Equilibrium CEO Jason Rifkin. “One reason Texcell chose Equilibrium is because of our expertise in designing energy efficient, world-class laboratory space.”
Rifkin will be assisted by William Kalench, Associate Program Manager for Equilibrium.
