Art Buddy

Six students in the Adventures in Science program, which meets at Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus, won a national app competition. They created AutBuddy, an app designed for children with autism to enable them to complete their schoolwork and daily tasks using a mobile device. JHU sponsors Adventures in Science and is proud of the students and their adviser, Siva Reddy.

Eight teams won the national Verizon Innovative App Challenge; the Adventures in Science students won at the state level before advancing to the national competition. The team will receive a $20,000 grant from Verizon to further develop their app.
