LESLIE FORD WEBER
Interim Executive Director, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Leslie Ford Weber is the interim executive director of the Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus. For the past 17 years, Leslie has lived and worked in Montgomery County and as a result, has established personal and professional relationships with local government and community organizations. In addition to leading the Montgomery County Campus, Leslie represents both the university and the health system in their interactions with Montgomery Country elected officials, the business community and other external organizations. Before joining Government & Community Affairs at Hopkins, Leslie held a dual role as Executive Vice President of the Suburban Hospital Foundation and Senior Vice President of Government and Community Relations for Suburban Hospital. She is the treasurer of Montgomery Women; a past chair of the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce; and a 2007 Leadership Montgomery core program graduate.
HOWARD A. COVIN
Director, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Howard provides supervision and leadership of all day-to-day operations and services for the Montgomery County Campus. Howard is the principal liaison with the finance and associate academic deans from all the divisions on campus and other colleagues in Baltimore to coordinate strategic changes in day-to-day operations. He builds community-related collaborative relationships between the Montgomery County Campus and local non-profit and business organizations. Howard serves on the following boards: Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce, Crimesolvers of Montgomery County, Montgomery County Coalition for Adult English Literacy and interPLAY Company at Strathmore.
BARBARA M. CREWS
Special Projects Manager, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Barbara coordinates interactions for meetings and events on campus as well as handles complex scheduling for the Executive Director with business, government, elected officials and academia. Barbara is responsible for oversight of logistics planning and implementation of all campus events initiated by JHUMC’s Office of the Provost. Barbara currently is a member of the Thurgood Marshall Elementary School PTA and the Ridgeview Middle School PTSA. She is a former president of the Duffy Irish Dance Foundation.
SHERRY M. FISHER
IT Manager, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Sherry oversees all IT and AV needs and support services at the Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus with a focus on providing excellent customer service for classroom and campus technology. She ensures that all external customers find the campus user friendly and up to date with the necessary IT and AV tools and equipment. She also serves as a conduit for connecting individuals and businesses on campus with the IT resources they seek. Sherry is a member of the Montgomery County Women’s Executive Leadership Network and the Montgomery County Technology Women’s Network.
Communications and Media Relations Manager, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Ellen initiates, develops and implements campus media relations and marketing strategies with the goal of raising the visibility of JHU’s Montgomery County locations and its broad diversity of programs and services, from teaching to research to real estate. She is responsible for the campus website, newsletter and social media.
