LESLIE FORD WEBER
Campus, Government and Community Affairs
Leslie Ford Weber is director of the Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus and director of government and community affairs for Johns Hopkins in Montgomery County. For the past 20 years, Leslie has lived and worked in Montgomery County and as a result, has established personal and professional relationships with local government and community organizations. In addition to leading the Montgomery County Campus, Leslie represents both the university and the health system in their interactions with Montgomery Country elected officials, the business community and other external organizations. Before joining Government & Community Affairs at Hopkins, Leslie held a dual role as Executive Vice President of the Suburban Hospital Foundation and Senior Vice President of Government and Community Relations for Suburban Hospital. She is active with the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce; the treasurer of Montgomery Women; a past chair of the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce; and a 2007 Leadership Montgomery core program graduate.
BARBARA M. CREWS
Assistant Executive Director, Community Relations, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Barbara is responsible for all community outreach initiatives, with a special focus on K-12 students. She works closely with the JHU schools to develop and implement opportunities to enhance curriculum through hands-on learning. Barbara is also the liaison to campus tenants and brings her years of hotel management experience to bear when striving to ensure an atmosphere of exceptional service. She is a board member of the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Quince Orchard High School PTSA and Booster Club. She is a graduate of the Leadership Montgomery Class of 2014.
SHERRY M. FISHER
Director of Campus Operations, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Sherry oversees all finance, human resources, information technology and audio/visual needs and support services at the Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus, with a focus on providing excellent customer service for campus operations. She ensures that all external customers find the campus to be a friendly atmosphere dedicated to serving daytime events, students and faculty. Sherry makes certain all technology within classrooms is up to date with the necessary IT and AV tools and equipment. She also serves as a conduit for connecting individuals and businesses on campus with the IT resources they seek. In addition, Sherry aides prospective tenants in locating space on campus.
Communications and Media Relations Manager, Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus
Ellen initiates, develops and implements campus media relations and marketing strategies with the goal of raising the visibility of JHU’s Montgomery County locations. She is responsible for the campus website, newsletter and social media. She also represents Johns Hopkins on the Greater Shady Grove Transportation Management District Advisory Committee. Ellen graduated from Leadership Montgomery in 2015.
